Hey guys, Glad to be part of the forum. A little about me and my Gretsch journey... When I was 10 or so my uncle passed away and I was left a 6120 Nashville. I have tracked it down to be a 1968. Not a desirable collectors year, but whatever. The monetary value of the guitar is not that important seeing as I'll never sell it anyway. When I was a kid I was afraid to play it because I didn't want to mess it up. Found out later that leaving it in the case is a big cause of binding rot. Counterintuitive, but go figure. I play mostly rock and blues. Heavy blues mostly and have a Suhr Strat and a Les Paul. But this guitar was my first electric and I love it dearly. It sounds sooooo good. The frets are pitted pretty bad in the cowboy chord area and I'm looking to get a refret soon. Anyway, that Gretsch sound is so good no matter what style you're playing and I look forward to learning more about them. Thanks for having me.
