Gibson 30 watt class A

    Dan, you may want to post it over on gibson-talk. someone on there may have an answer for you. that thing is older than my old Gibson amp.

    Those semi-recent Goldtone amps are very cool.

    From what I remember, it's not truly Class A just like a Vox AC30 isn't truly Class A. Early Gibsons used EL84's (Americans called them 6BQ5's) quite often.

    It'll be cathode biased (no bias adjustments ever needed) and likely sound really nice.

    Vintage? No. But still very nice sounding and vintage mojo in tone.

    They were a Trace Elliot Design and pretty stiff pricewise new! I couldn't give you an estimate as is. So I would offer what it's worth to you. I'd start at 775 or 800. For the money he's asking you could almost buy one of Gibson's newer handwired's.
