This month’s Guitar World magazine features an article about George Harrison on the cover. Modern guitarists choose his greatest guitar moments.

Before I tell what they chose, what would you say are his greatest guitar moments?

  4. I’m going on a limb and suggesting his greatest guitar moment was when he picked one up and started to learn to play. But i may be in my own group on that train of thought

Eh...he's never struck me as a great guitar player as much as a singer songwriter with some guitar skills. But I think his greatest moments were after the Beatles - Cloud 9 as well as his work with the Wilburys.

Lots of great ones to choose from, but he will always be “my favorite Beatle!”

I was just going to say the same thing about Cloud 9, fantastic album!

The solo of While My Guitar Gently Weeps :D

In fact, I'm pretty disappointed by the OP. On my mobile, the thread title only read "best guitar", without "moments". I thought that would initiate an interesting debate about his Country Gentleman VS his later Jet :)

Man - listening to it now and I'm even more convinced. Good guitar work on it.

He’s one of those rare few who you can distinguish hearing just one note...astounding talent!

My copy was on cassette and long gone, I'll have to replace it. Enjoy!

George brought his buddy, Eric Clapton, to the studio while the Beatles were recording “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”; Eric Clapton played the solo on “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.
