Way to go, Congratulations! Blemished is really the smart way to go, I've never played a guitar more than 3 days that didn't earn the blemish title. A few got there on the first day!

Welcome! Congrats on the new G2627T. I LOVE mine in Shoreline Gold.
First Gretsch of what I believe will be several eventually.
Sounds like you've already got a nice stable of Gretsch's there Sir. Enjoy!

Congrats! Same guitar I picked up several months back on a SDOTD, though mine was unblemished. Love it!!!

I picked one up a few weeks ago as well. I like the stock pickups, but was wondering if anyone has upgraded one or all of them. I was thinking of taking advantage of the three pickup setup to be able to keep the neck and bridge stock and replace the middle with a Gretsch or TV Jones filter’tron style neck pickup. Any suggestions or experience with this idea? Thanks

    Welcome.

Gretsch sure have some great models available these days.
The most interesting to me are the ones out of the Electromatic / Streamliner ranges.

    Welcome to the Forum!
You may be the first here to modify one of these. The good news is that the BT-2S pickups are standard HB sized and there are a million that will fit without much trouble.
For example, I have a regular G2622 and have been planning to replace both pickups with GFS HBs with coil-splitting. Should give me an interesting variety of tones.

The GFS pickups are cheap enough to play around with and not feel like you’re stuck with something if you don’t like it.

It is my understanding that the 2627 is a Guitar Center / Musicians Friend exclusive, so it hasn’t been in the Gretsch site. For a while now, they’ve only had the green one and the Shoreline Gold was added recently.

I paid $420 in May or June as a SDOTD. Several weeks later they were a SDOTD again for $399. Just have to check daily, if you're in the market for one. The stupid deals have all been Georgia Green, as far as I know.
