Oh, the Lake Placid Blue is beautiful — just not traditional. I’d need to warm up to it a bit more.
Yep 6136t. And if that nick bothered you, the demo will drive you nuts.
You’re right. I must have had a page for the 59 Vintage Select open by mistake (though even that has a different bridge). I’m going back and forth between them on so many sites. LOL.
Good point — and no chance I’d even bother to go to court to chase that money. It’d be gone.
That LPB Falcon has TV RB pups IIRC.
Love the sound of those.
Yes and i totally understand that, you have to be 100% in what you get as you dont want to have any doubts at all.
If you liked the Caddy Green Duo Jet - what about this one:
Would be simple enough to fit a Bigsby B6 and change the pick guard to something less “in your face” if you wanted?
Love that one
I actually love that guitar. If I got it, I wouldn’t want to change it. I’m pretty big on leaving them stock as much as possible.
Who knows? Maybe that one will be my second Falcon.
That was a huge draw and I have been struggling with whether to go LPB because of them. I also like the understated look of it, even though I don’t have a problem with the blinged out Falcons — to me, that should be expected and a Gretsch is the best guitar to pull that look off. One of 132 also is pretty cool.
So I spent all weekend warming up to the LPB Falcon, called my guy today to put in the order and he immediately told me that I would not want them because they are all demos and have been on the floor since 2018.
So, 6136T it is. Order is in. Thanks everyone for all of the help.
Congrats. Keep us posted when you get it.
You won’t be sorry.
If it’s a Falcon you want, you just ordered the real deal!
Yep, big deep body, long scale neck.
Okay, I’m officially in love. I wasn’t clear before in saying that I went with the 6136T. I meant the Player’s Edition — I wanted the guitar in black. Up close and in person, the thing is a dream. I did a quick check on the intonation and it sounds spot on. No fret buzz anywhere. No dings that I could see or feel on a quick pass through the body. Perfect. It sounds so full and resonant unplugged. Letting her sit for the night and will plug in tomorrow.
One thing I’m now convinced of — a full on 6136T White Falcon is in my future. I’m hooked.
Thanks again everyone for the help. I wish you could see my smile.
But we’d be more apt to believe these claims if we could see pictures
I love guitar stories with happy endings! Glad the 6136T has you hooked!
Here she is —
Welcome to club Falcon!
"Now that's what I'm talking about."
Me and, me and TV Jones, TV Jones, we got a thing going on...
