Electromatics vs Fender MIM Strat vs Epi Dot and Les Paul , my observations

    Well, it ain't rocket science I don't mind tellin' ya. No reason they can't get it right. But then not all guitars require the same amount of setup. Extensive nut work? Fret work? That should be good from the factory.

    I’ve bought two 5420s, both ‘used’ but largely unplayed. The Korean build is flawless. No fret work needed. Nothing. Only thing I noticed are the nuts are cut fractionally high stock—but these are mass produced guitars so won’t get a slick pro setup factory so that’s fine.

    My only beef is the electrics and some of the hardware is cheap and nasty for a mid-price guitar. That’s where they cut the costs. All fixable of course.
