What kind of pick ups are those? Is that guitar pre-gretschbucker?

These are Gretsch's secret weapon. The Dearmond 2000. Makes G-buckers seem like a childrens toy. Available on the 512x range, now deceased RIP.

Oh man! I just watched a quick YouTube video of this guitar, and those pickups definitely have that Great Gretsch Sound! Yee-haw!

You'll never sleep alone with Dearmonds! This 512x range will be a future classic. I've had 2, both made by Peerless. Astonishingly good for the price. I prefer the later version with the deeper body and floating bridge, but there's nothing wrong with the earlier version either. Keep an eye on ebay to find a good one.

That guard looks perfect. Was it custom cut for you? Do you have a link to Quick Guards? DeArmond 2000's are killer.

I've seen a few white pigeons (the name given to electromatic falcon & penguin lookalikes) over the years, but never a silver pigeon! nice work! :D

How about the Red Pigeon? The guard I used was a Silver Falcon guard. I've since installed one on my 5125 too.

Congrats Divewelder, these are incredible guitars.

    Beautiful, Here's Mine

Mine is not as fancy as your but here it is. I went to a Doyle Dykes Concert and had my pickguard autographed. Love those DeArmonds.

Come on guys! All the black 5125 threads are not doing my wallet any favors. He's already hiding!

Very nice man. I like the pickguard.
