I am on track with you here. Fell in love with the Duffy Falcon back in the 80's...

Anyway, serious G.A.S for a Jet. Would love a 6128 but not sure I can justify it...

Damn dude that “g” brand is beautiful, but I’d imagine you’ve heard that from time to time.

63A735A5-5E60-41A3-B375-6E04B9D57A72.jpeg It took forever and a bit luck to get mine. It’s my forever guitar. I went through several country gents, but I think I’m my case that was my fathers dream. Mine are pro jets. If had to say my next dream another jet it would be a custom shop “g” brand. No, but I have the Gretsch I can afford. But with time to spare money and two or three mods she will become the Gretsch of my dreams.

Well I love my G5420T but it has some failings, I changed the saddles, introduced a jack socket cover and would like Gretsch to develop their own locking tuners to be honest as there are no direct replacements out there. Sure, you can ream the peg holes out but I would not want to undertake that challenge, this also does not account for the fact that old screw holes would also have to be hidden if you purchase 3rd party tuners.
Other than that yes, I really like my Gretsch, it plays well, holds intonation and looks cool......Do I love it though....?

LoL, yep, John's artistic flair has that similar quality to it that drew me to Gretsches back in the early 70s.
its why i started building his designs in the first place, they were about the only designs i ever saw that could compete with a Gretsch for my attentions in my eyes.

    This is my Dream Guitar.
i have the white cowboy case for it, but its currently filled with a robins eggs blue double jet limited edition with gold hardware until i can find a cheap enough Stephen Stern model round up.
ive own too many Gretsches to count now. and all of them i wish i had never sold.....

but I am kinda gassing for a White Penguin....and maybe another Falcon.. or a Astrojet... not sure.... ill get back to you on that.

    I have a couple MIJs. A 6120 59 LTV, and a 6128TCG. Love 'em.

To me, Gretsch guitars embody FUN. Happy, spanky, blingy. Not something I'd ever look for in a Gibson, but seems perfect in a Gretsch.

My dream Gretsch is a Masterbuilt single-cut Jet with dynasonics and a Bigsby. Sparkle burgundy with gold hardware and neo inlays. V0l-Vol-MasterVol-Tone. No mud switch.

Ideally relic'd mildly - just crack the lacquer.

I've been casually looking for a used one for several years now, and ... nuthin'.

One of these days, I'll call and order one, I guess...

Absolutely love, love, love my Koa 6120 with Brian Setzer pups and Bigsby. Only thing I can think of that could be better is a custom built 59 Falcon in Turquoise blue sparkle, silver trim, Ray Butts pups, and a Bigsby.

82858432-AD91-432A-8E8E-1B8862745580.jpeg Hello! I have been with my Gretsch 6143 Spectra Sonic Lead for almost 14 years. For me it is perfect, not only because of its Gretsch sound, but because it is very versatile and during all these years it has accompanied me playing blues, rock, funk, soul .... It was love at first sight, at first chord, and until today!

I've played for 35 years now, worked in a guitar store, ran another guitar store, and designed yet another guitar store. I've owned at least 40 guitars in that time. I am in LOVE with my G6228 (added Towner/Bigsby). I actually just sold a Custom Shop LP in order to buy yet another Players Jet

While I still hope to someday get the Billy Duffy White Falcon, I did get my absolute dream Gretsch a few years ago with the Billy Zoom Silver Jet. Still making payments on this one.
