Actually I did win some swag at the Canadian Gretsch Roundup couple years ago.

This morning we were talking about me going to the RoundUp this weekend (you know what she's going thru Tony), and I said unless something happens I just won't go and she says, "no you're going, you haven't done anything in a long time". I told her in the 30 years we've been together, "I've bought houses cars and boats and lots of guitars without your knowledge, it was just that stupid expensive Starbucks coffee you said no way to that time, yeah, you're right, I deserve to go" ;)

I won my Dodge Challenger R/T in the Dr. Z Sweeptakes back in 2006. Don't believe me?
Here's the press release, need to scroll down a bit. I'm Phil.

    That's not hard to believe.
As I understand it, you have had several wives over the years - since 1974 I have, and still do have, just the one.
Question is - who is better off?????!!!
Now that is a question I truly can't answer! LOL

Well, I was going to say that I won a 19-inch color TV in a company drawing twenty+ years ago, but after reading about Phil's Dodge Challenger, I decided to just stick a sock in it.

As a 10-year old kid I won a "LEGO-Masterbuilder Competition" in my hometown.
The first winner (me) should walk to a big table full of mostly very valuable big LEGO model kits, and make his choice. Then it should be the second winner`s turn to chose.
Now the problem: I could not arrive at the event in time because I had my piano-lessons.
So instead of being the first to chose between the prices I ended to be the last.
A small box of "little-kids toy blocks" was the price that was left for me.....:(

No, I haven't won anything. But, I do know how to handle the frustration and disappointment that often accompanies these lotteries/contests. Through meditation and yoga, I am able to achieve 100% inner peace.

Wow... I'm surprised that car has been around that long. It still seems like a relatively "new" model to me.

    I couldn't win an argument !:D

Oh wait, there was 2 medals at primary school sports day for the relay race and sprint race, and a football jersey at secondary school ,which was funny, cause i hate football!
There was also a polo shirt from Motor Trend magazine that was like a tent on me,it was XXL.i'm M,i give it away.

I also won a few things like T shirts, picks, strings, leads, posters ,books and the like from the GDP when Proteus use to do the giveaways with Joe C at NAMM.

As for the Lottery ,well ,a few times but only very very small amounts like £6 or £10, the most i ever got was when i was in a syndicate of four back in the 90's, we got £160 ,so £40 each.
I haven't won anything for over 2 years.

My aunt was pretty lucky about 9 or 10 years ago,she won a car on local radio ,she had to take the cash value though , she had to relinquish her driving license as she has epilepsy .

I've lost count of the car and guitar comps i've entered over the years.

I won a case of whiskey in a raffle. I was never a whiskey drinker, but I knuckled down and became one!

The contest was in 2006, but the model didn't come out until 2009... so I had to wait 3 years...

I'm guessing when you are asking about winning, you're talking about winning due to luck as opposed to by skill or achievement.

Well the closest for me is winning a little at playing cards with friends - never more than about $100 though. I would guess I am slightly ahead at gambling. But I never play casinos lotteries - or really any game rigged for me to lose.

I've won a couple of things:

In 8th grade, my partner and I won a dance contest at the Jr. high school Christmas dance.
On another guitar forum, I won an EH Big Muff Pi fuzz pedal.
And on this forum, I won a recording interface.

I also entered a "No Losers Contest" when I was in 4th grade. It was a contest conducted by a milk company, as I recall. Everyone who entered got a little loving cup trophy. My 2 sisters got their trophy, but I never got mine. I was, therefore, a loser in a no losers contest. :(

And so, the universe remains balanced.
