I actually know someone (friend-of-a-friend) who is a former high school teacher who is doing five years in prison for an affair with a student. This song is all I could think of when I heard.
Mistaken interpretation by many a newly wed for their first dance….
I used to work with a girl who was diddling the shop teacher. They ended up getting married.
YES YES I remember that ....lol
OH OH OH I know this one .....on the tip of my tongue too .......ugh !
Screaming Jay Hawkins
Lenoon got the lyric from this one:
I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
There were all those dead teenager songs:
Always loved that track, haven't heard it in decades!
A student at my high school was secretly dating one of our teachers. A bit after graduation she married him. I think he ended up leaving the school for another school the next year (fired? Not sure).
Back on topic, I've noticed that Brian Setzer no longer sings the title line in this song. Guessing he found it creepy as he got older. Written when he was maybe 18?
Lol it’s because at 18 they are so puffed up about themselves they think everyone wants them .
Last Kiss, etc.
Probably my favorite song by Neko Case. This has a nice haunting quality to it, and is truly a VERY creepy song in meaning.
Never could figure out what that song is about (bride of a bull?) plus the over laid down atmosphere.
Always sounded creepy to me.
