Several years ago, I purchased a couple of amp stand/cabinets from a maker on eBay. He only had a few of each of them available, one for 59 Bassman-sized amps in tweed, and another for Twin Reverb-sized amps in black tolex. I bought one of each. They weren't cheap at over $300 per, but I had to have them.

The front panel/door is operated with push-in latches that are activated by pressing the center of the panel on the top edge. As you can see in the pictures, the open door reveals two removable wooden shelves that slide out. The pictures show the shelves in place, and slightly opened, showing the perfect storage area for string sets, cables, picks, and what have you.

The pics of the black tolex model show the cab alone and also supporting a 2X10 speaker cab and a Deluxe Reverb amp head. Sure makes for a convenient way to move the stack around and store a bunch of stuff.

The maker disappeared from eBay and I've never seen anything quite like this amp stand/cabinet since. I thought you all might like to see these.

Not cheap, but I can see the value. Those are nicely done.

Slicker than warm cat poop on a linoleum floor - VERY SLICK.

Those are a great idea and look fantastic.

Those are very cool. I'll have to steal the idea, although I'm nowhere near that good a woodworker.

I just noticed that the builder, Ryan's Shop, has listed them in the past few years on reverb.com. His store is closed right now, must be on vacation. No recent sales that I can find, but at least they have not disappeared altogether.

Very well done cabinet/stands there!! I don't think the price was out of line at all considering the hardware, cabinets, drawers, and tolex/finishing. The design seems ideal for home or studio type use. I may have to follow the good doctors lead and build something similar for a couple of my amps.

    Thanks for posting!

Now we know the truth behind all those prop stacks onstage... it's the band's/crew's luggage! :p

these are really cool but you must not have a wife if you have she must be very chilled out because if I tried to put these up indoors I wouldn’t be alive to write this message!

I just about get away with the gear I’ve got let alone adding fender furniture

That's really sharp - dual purpose, storage and get your amp up a little where the cab isn't firing directly at your calves.

Damn, I would like one of those that matches my Gibson Goldtone for my home. I would think the rattling stuff inside might become a distraction?

I can see why you "had to have them". A great idea and very well done.
