Picked up a guitar and skateboard around the same time as a kid. Glad to know I can still do both! I completed a teenage dream;

Recorded some skate tricks, and then used my own song for the sound track. Classic skating needed a classic pair, DS-1 into a TS

Where my NYC Fam at? Y'all check that Pump Track in Coney Island yet?

I did the skating, guitar, bass and drums!

Dont ever stop skating, looks like you were having a blast!
Im riding a 33" Dogtown longboard w Kryptonic 70mm these days, I dont wanna fall everrrrr these days.
btw.. pump tracks are a blast, kinda reminds me of the snake run at Concrete Wave in Anaheim back in the day,
or a bit like Skatopia by Knotts Berry Farm in OC. We have a serious pump track down here in San Diego, my boy made me look like a chump there :)

I love this, my taste in music developed early from watching videos from skating as a kid, so it was cool to do it myself!

The first time I heard RHH's Can't Surf was in a skating video game!
Yeah man.
Reading skate magazines as a teenager in the mid 90’s made me aware of a lot of cool stuff I wouldn’t have been hip to otherwise. Not much internet back then. Thrasher and Warp magazines mostly.
Funny you mention RHH, I first read an interview with him in Warp when he was promoting his third record, Liquor in the Front. I bought the cd shortly after. It has Can’t Surf on it!

Growing up in the South Bay of SoCal in the 60/70s we were all immersed in the booming skate culture. My dad had the only jigsaw on the block so I was the kid cutting skateboards. X Caliber trucks and Cadillacs were the big quantum leap. Then came Road Riders with the sealed bearings. Concrete culverts were our skateparks, before Peralta and the kids from Venice started throwing surf moves into their skating. Man, those were the days. Probably why my knees are so jacked. Cool to see the OP still skating. I wouldn’t dare anymore…way too old!

It’s hard to beat Fidlar for a good skate soundtrack. My kid is in a surf/punk band in Reno and they draw inspiration from skating.

I’ve seen too many youtube videos of broken arms and ankles, concussions, scalp cuts, broken noses, knockouts, and lost teeth to even want to skateboard.

THat's great your ripping !! So digging this post!
I started riding in the 70's. Started guitar in the mid 80's. Never stopped combining the two.

I was sponsored by G&S in the 80's ! Henry Hester signed me up after Christian and Roskopp bragged about me (Vert) I rode for 3 years, couldn't keep up....now 55 and I just carve! And of course strum my 67' cat eye (6117) 90' roundup and currently overseeing my sons' 67 Tennessean getting a semi-resto ! LOL

Nice vibe on your park runs, gotta work in a kickflip or heelflip to really represent! I used to skate but not much anymore. But I’ve been snowboarding for about 28 years. That’s my biggest athletic passion. Here’s a couple shots from the park that my wife took. Now I want to go ride but no snow in VT till at least November!

Oh to get some Gretsch in there, here’s my Bourbon Stain Broadkaster at the bottom!

Maybe the next time I go recording? 🤔I always had fun with foot plants, and trying to do things a little different. Here is super old footy of myself when I still had long hair🥲

Those have such a unique size, I've never ridden one of those carving boards, I've seen people do some crazy slides on those!

I just refinished my banana board and Longboard. Here's "the quiver" 🙄 View attachment 187865 View attachment 187866 View attachment 187877 View attachment 187879

Yes, the longboard has lights!
Those are nice! I like that creature deck! Yeah mine are downhill boards, I actually just put new Caliber 3 trucks and Autobahn banshee slide wheels on the earthwing, that deck is so gnarly
