Holy Majoli! It's guitar paradise. In your second pic, I spied with my little eye, what looks to be a vintage white, double cut Duo Jet!

    What is this mysterious creature?!?
Thanks so much for the pics and causing serious GAS.

That must be to the west. Took red line Chicago to brown Pulimina. Was only one on the L. I hear there are two areas to avoid.. South n west. Lake view seemed amazing... image.jpeg image.jpeg

Mouth-watering pix -- thanks for sharing! I subscribe to their youtube channel -- they do some decent demos, especially those by Joel Patterson, our mutual guitar god. :D ... Don't s'pose he dropped in for an impromptu concert while you were there???

Funny you should ask. I told them my Joel story. They said he's always here and gave me a
List of places he plays regular

VERY nice amplifier, Im glad you got to try it out, I thouht about the one you bought, the clone. I would like to have something like it, I believe Jhowdy play a Deluxe of some sort also. Ill put one on my "Wanted list",;)
Its a shame it aint got reverb but I guess a reverb pedal would solve that!

I have even thought bout a kit of some sort just to get one;)

There is a place in Dekalb Illinois called axe in hand. It's about an hour drive out of Chicago that I used to go to with my cousin. The main store had an incredible collection of guitars and amps, all vintage stuff. The upstairs was by appointment only and I was told many times I had to be a buyer looking for something specific. I never got up there.

I'm also a rail urban history nut, and I Never new that! I know the L train, but didn't know it stood for. Super clean and great shape vs when I used to take it 12 years ago

I Love elevated subways. When I'm in a city, I'm Normaly on foot. I find there a great way to see the city and get local. In 20years riding them (sometimes bus ), I've never had an issue. Sometimes late at night.. Let see, I've done

Make N' Music just about rivals CME in how great it is, they stock alot of boutique stuff and FCS that is hard to see in the flesh anywhere else. They moved at least a half dozen times and are currently in the near north burbs (Northfield). I heard they are moving back to the city soon though. Their original location was in the south burbs (Homewood), which is where i grew up and i pretty lived in there from the time i started playing until they moved to the city in the mid '90s (even though i just loitered since i couldnt afford anything in the place).
