What do you think of this case for a Jet?

Hello @GretschPlayer101,

Indeed it's a nice case, but bee careful : not all Les Paul case can accept a Jet !
An here's the reason why : the Jet is larger/bigger in size than a Les Paul at the shoulders...
I made the experience by myself, and had to return a thomann.de Les Paul case where a Jet did not entered.

Apart the official Gretsch cases, the Warwick/Rockcase RC10604 accept a Jet G5220. I have a RC10604BR (below) and a RC10604BK to attest it.

There's certainly other models / brands that are convenients too for a Jet. I'm sure other G-T members can have a clue about that... ;)

But it's me, OK ? 😁

A+!

If you have a bigsby it may not fit.
Thanks for the input. That's what I am afraid of. My case that came with the guitar is not original Gretsch and perfectly fine, just I thought this white case looks cool. This guitar company is about 10 miles from me so I should bring my G6128T 53 VS there and try it out.

When possible, that's obviously the best solution, of course...

I wonder how it would fit in a 2655 centre block junior case? The new tweed one looks lovely

Yes, I have one for my G5622TLH 1st serie (see avatar), which is an Electromatic Thinline Center Block : it is simply fine for that guitar format, but would certainly be too large for a Jet. That said, I think that there is a Jet-compatible version of that tweed case... I saw that recently, but where ? I don't remembe, sorry...

A+!

My personal preference is that if I already have a hard case, I prefer to get a nice gig bag for light travel or, if I was a working musician, a flight case for real protectuon.

But there's nothing wrong with getting another case just because you like the color!

My 5420 came to me in a Road Runner acoustic case. Case was nice with a tweed covering, however, it was a little too deep. I sold it and bought a Gretsch 6241FT case made for my model. The guitar fits well, but the case is of poor quality....only three latches, covering peeled off in several spots that I had to glue back on. For home storage, it's OK, but I would not do any extensive traveling with it.
