The Deluxe has Seymour Duncan Antiquity Retrospec'd (Unpotted). They sound wonderful to me. Airy and open sounding with plenty of chime on the highs (no harshness) and great articulation. I'm very impressed with these pickups.

I did another comparison tonight just for playability and feel. The necks are almost identical, the frets are the same, the luthier did his best on both of them to adjust the setup. The Deluxe just feels better to play somehow, but it's the electronics where it shines mostly. I'm torn because I actually like the looks of the Premier better. I have come to the conclusion that I'm not giving up either of them EVER!

Come on, is that really a blue pair?

I don't believe I have become color blind, so what I see is a blue guitar on the left and a guitar that isn't blue on the right.
