A&W or 5 Guys, both real good....unless I am "bound up", then it's a Big Mac, clears things right out....

When I was growing up we had a lake cabin in a small town, where the only burger place was an A&W. I progressed from Baby Burger to Teen Burger to Mama Burger to Papa Burger as I got older. Love the seasoning mix on their fries.

Thanks for the image. I may never eat a Big Mac again. o_O

Been watching the movie Idiocracy a couple of times the past month. Now every time I see the words Carl's Jr, I bust out laughing

The Whataburger Patty Melt is my favorite. I normally delete the grilled onions, but it's pretty perfect any way you get it. Their fries are pretty amazing as well.

Five Guys is where its at. Too bad they're soooo expensive in comparison.

Of the big national chains, I'm going with Wendy's.
In the Seattle/Tacoma area, you'd be smart to check out Earthquakes and Kidd Valley. Triple-X in Issaquah is also worth a try.

I only know one Five Guys in the Netherlands. Been there once and liked it, but for the money I could also go the a proper restaurant. It takes more time, but that means longer enjoying. For ‘real’ fast food burgers there’s not much more choice here than McDonalds and Burger King. My favourite would be a double Whopper with cheese.

Five guys will put the Cajun spice on your burger also if you ask. I like five guys but a bit expensive but while I do keto I can get a lettuce wrapped burger from them. I find I prefer it to the overly grease soaked bun.

The 5 Guys locations in my area don't have a drive-thru..

One I forgot to mention was a local chain in my area called Burgerviille. They're a little more spendy, but they use local fresh ingredients, and I like their bugers.

Difference here being that now the grease is running down to your elbows!

While in my region, I have no Five Guys, or In-And-Out that I'd like to compare, my answer would be the Burger King Whopper (no cheese) and then White Castle. Might try a Wendy's if I can get a good coupon for it. I was off all junk food for many years until this quarantine. Recently I've now had more Double Whoppers in the last weeks than I've had in decades.

Ah, that is all in your eating technique! I keep the foil on and peel it back slowly it catches all the grease if done right and if I so desire I can drink up the juices when done or toss it out.

That's SO funny because it happened to me and my wife without us even having to ask....

We were coming home late after a concert and decided to get a McDonalds burger. We hit the drive thru just before closing and ordered two regular hamburgers. They gave them to us and we started to drive off, unwrapped the burger and took a seemed rather meager and bread-y. We opened the bun and saw only ketchup, mustard and nothing else...we drove back around as they were turning off the lights and got their attention. They gave us one with the am pretty sure they were miffed that we had come so late, just before closing (they were probably ready to go home themselves) and decided to short us the meat.

That was probably 40+ years this day my wife and I still joke about that time we got the McBun.
