Eating takeout from Five Guys yesterday - (Little Cheeseburger, All the Way except tomatoes; with Cajun Little Fries) My favorite fast food burger. (I don't eat there a lot, just an occasional treat. Gotta follow my own advice to patients!)

I don't consider 5 guys fast food, more like quick serve food. I would say In-n-Out Double Double Animal Style is the best "fast food" burger. I do like 5 Guys as much or better though. I would put Habit Burger in the same category as 5 Guys and I like them just as much.

I had never been to a Whataburger before (as I don't often eat burgers) but recently found out their drive-thru is open 24/7 and I am often a nightowl.
Not cheap but their Mushroom Swiss burger is incredible!! Best burger I've had in decades!

Here in California it's definitely In'n'Out. We take our dog because we can buy her a meat patty w/no salt. Then we can all eat together. I like the double/double animal style, but I also like the type where they just substitute lettuce leaves for the bun; don't remember what that's called, I think protein style.

Five Guys is good, but overpriced. I'll go with Harvey's.

I like the 5-guys burger no doubt, fries too!!

For fast Food, Portillo’s cheeseburger is pretty darn good. In fact, it’s THE best fast food joint for me to eat at. Chicago style dogs, beefs etc. There is ALWAYS a line of people which is a good sign. It’s a Chicago staple and Chicago knows food pretty well.

I calculate 36 years since my last fast food. At that time the University I attended had an in-house Burger King and an offer of Whopper Fries and Large Coke for two bucks......

That's been awhile. 1961, burger, fries, and a shake was called an All-American and cost 45 cents. 20 million served.

Cook Out here in the southeast (and Maryland) is great. Also, there's a one-off restaurant (housed in a single-wide trailer, no inside seating and only one picnic table outside), in the next town over from me, called 'Crickets' that has great burgers.

But from wherever, the burger must have mayo, mustard, lettuce, and raw sweet onion. Gotta have 'em.
