Never understood why bedroom amps=small. The fidelity and warmth of 50sh wt through 2x12’s is glorious!! Even at bedroom levels.
If ya need some low volume growl or break up step on yer Brain maaaan!
    Clean bedroom huh???

Beautiful. Also, what's that brown guitar? It has a Falcon-lookin body, but it has a small Duo Jet-lookin headstock. I'm intrigued.

You need to move some air if you like to tickle the tubes.

Quite a few recommendations for the Spark and it’s on offer at the moment £190.

But there is something a bit well digital about it ! I play my guitar to get away from screens, my work involves screens my other hobby photography involves screens so I do t want to be using a tablet or phone when I’m playing my guitar.

Does that make sense to anyone else ? I know the Spark can be used like a normal amp but it would mean not using it to its full potential.

I have a Cube Micro GX but I would like a slightly larger amp that I leave plugged in. I really want it to look nice so retro/vintage and it must have a great tone. Not too big and preferably under £300.....

OK, thanks for the clarification. Have you checked out the little Fender Pro Jr.? It's 15 watts into a 10" in a tweed box so they look retro enough. They have very good tone - Jeff Beck has even gigged with them and they should cost around your budget, although I am not familiar with UK prices. The newer ones have a Jensen P10R speaker installed and that is a really nice sounding speaker.

I would bet you could source the parts for a nice little 5-15 watt amp then make a cab and cover it the way you like. Nice project and fun.

I agree...all these work better than any small amp & the hi fi thing is amazing at super low volume. 21 recto jca th 800 3203 50+.jpg

Depending on your practice needs these are cost effective and do the job well.

Princetons are animals! I love mine so much and yes, you are correct that going above 2, maybe 3 max, takes it swiftly out of the realm of bedroom/livingroom volume. I still would recommend it. I live in a studio apartment and leave mine at 2.5 and still get great tones. I just got a JHS Milkman and that help to give it that opened up sound at a low volume.
