Hello, since I am playing 12-52 flats with a wound G, I often use the bigsby for adding vibrato to bends.

Bit new to guitars with a whammy bar. Now I find myself using it for the E and B string bends, and vibrato in general. Getting lazy? Is this common? It sounds great - ain't broke, don't fix??

Less is always more when it comes to your Bigsby.

I use my Bigsby a LOT!
I have to disagree with the less is more in that department.
    More is definitely MORE!

As far as I'm concerned there are no hard-fast rules on anything. Trust your ears. I love hearing about guys using unorthodox techniques. So, yeah, "ain't broke, don't fix." My 2 cents.

I also use heavy strings, and I'm guilty of the same sin...

The Bigsby is addicting. I now find it hard/weird to play a guitar without some kind of whammy bar.

Too much of everything is just enough.

You're pitch bending with a pitch-bending machine. I see no problem. Laziness is the bastard father of invention.

I have to agree with both these sentiments!

I do the same : bend by fingers, and vibrato with the Bigsby, on single notes and chords.

The Bigsby is just another device to help you express yourself. Use it in every way that makes you happy. There are no rules.

I'm in the same boat... I'll reach for an imaginary Bigsby when I play something other than a Gretsch

Playing is mentioned above, no hardfast rules, I have with and without, it's weird not having one AND, it beats using the neck when you don't have one...I'm gonna break sum'in'....

Bigsby for vibrato and bending, you're doing it right.

    Works for these masters
