I picked up this beautiful 16" Gretsch case that's 4.25" deep plus 1" on the lid. I have never seen another one like it and can't find info on it. What's odd is that it has an arched top AND an arched back and it's covered with the same tweed used on the George Harrison tribute case. I have a G.H. case and the tweed is identical. Anyone know what guitar this was made for?

Not a clue, but you could take it to GC and try guitars in it til you find the one that fits and bring it home. No sense having an empty Gretsch case laying around...;)

What’s the inside like? It could be a custom shop case

juks - that's the jet case that came with the DSV and George Harrison case. The smaller case shown in my photo. This is the same materials only a 16" version.

jeff67 - it fits a Nashville or Anniversary style body. The only fancy cases I've seen are the cowboy case. And even those don't have the arched back

The arched back and inside match my custom shop case, and I have seen them use that material before for custom shop cases
