Anyone ever have luck getting the girl next door?

I got the girl who worked at my local video store.
I had a crush on her from afar for about 13 years, and when the timing was right, I finally went for it.
8 years later and we’re still in love.

 

Just strike up a conversation. Confidence is attractive. Better than stalking her on a dating app

I made a play for the girl next door. She was gorgeous, a talented writer, and crazier than a outhouse rat.

 

Two out of three ain't bad.

 

(said mostly tongue-in-cheek)....I try to avoid the "girl's next door"....because 99% of relationships are going to go sour (until/unless you meet THE ONE) eventually.....and if/when it does, I don't want to still have to see her every single day.....lol ;-)

Having said that...if you've got a good feeling....it never hurts to say hello...

Maybe ask another nearby neighbor ... find out SOMETHING she's into ... besides the dating site you know she's on but she doesn't know you know she's on.

I see in my mind's eye sitcom or movie scenes -
but yeah, it is NOT like the good ole days when you can go to the movies or share a meal in a restaurant, or even coffee, or a concert - dating has to be pretty weird nowadays.

btw, WHERE in general are you two potential lovebirds at - suburbs big city snow or beach ...

but the point is to find some local site of interest - that is even OPEN nowadays - a college where she is interested in taking a class ? I dunno.

When I went to school with a bunch of female nursing students, sometimes they'd talk about a "cute" doctor they saw. I would tell them that after they got their RN maybe they could work on their MRS, but got mostly blank looks in response.

 

Want to meet girls? Get a cute dog and hang out at the local park, they will find you!

Yeah I've been married to her for 45 years.... If you don't ask it can't happen. Actually my girl next door lived down the street and I use to throw rocks and rotten apples at her...love at first sight for sure....
