RIP Lloyd, you offered a lot of great songs: Personality, Stagger Lee, Come into my Heart, and Bad Conditions, and certainly will be missed.

Man. It’s just so sad to live in a world without the originals. The ones who made the music I love the most. So indebted to performers like this. Thank you Mr Price for sharing your gift. I hope to see you on the other side.

And Tony - you’re a kid compared to some of us here on G-T. I’m REALLY feeling old as many of us old guys who remain standing (and playing) must be feeling as we see so many of these musical influencers pass on…

I graduated from high school during the Summer of Love, saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, my first 45 RPM record was “Hound Dog/Don’t Be Cruel” by Elvis in 1956, my mom used to play her Les Paul & Mary Ford 78’s for my introduction to music appreciation. And I’ve loved most of the music since.
    What a ride…..

I have been introduced to Lloyd Price by Elvis' Lawdy Miss Clawdy and The Clash's Stagger Lee (opening Wrong'Em Boyo). He sure deserved to be more widely known.

It's a shame...but honestly, I thought he had passed a long time ago...I must have been thinking about someone else......love "Stagger Lee"!
