    Hello guys,

I'm looking at a used AO JM which oddly enough has a certificate matching the backplate SN but also a different SN at the back of the headstock.
    See pics : https://www.gretsch-talk.com/media/albu ... r-sn.2131/

I've had a chance to dismantle the neck whose heel was obviously forced in the cavity, is date for a 2018 stam and bears a label mentionning 60th anniversary.

It all feels like genuine Fender but I have never seen an AO with a SN on the back of the headstock.

What do you guys think about this one. Price with case is $1300 BTW.

I think you need to find another way to share the photos. We don’t have permission to view

pretty sure AO don't have a serial on the headstock...

double checked, they for sure don't.

    Something doesn't smell right.

It looks like a partscaster, unfortunately (though high end parts). The neck is from a 60th Anniversary Triple Jazzmaster, I think.

I looked on the internet and there seems to be 3 different 60th Anniversary JMs. The 58 has an unbound neck, the 66 has blocks and only the Triple has binding and dots and there is a serial number on the neck of that model (there's pictures on Elderly's website).

So the body (probably) and the neck come from expensive Fender Jazzmasters, just not the same one.
