Aloha , New to Ukulele , New to Gretsch

My first 'serious' uke was a Kala concert. Quite light, certainly not an 'overbuilt brick' in my opinion. A later Pono which I later got rid of was a lot heavier.
Still got the Kala though amongst my collection.
You can never have enough ukes!

Kala makes some nice furniture .

I recently compared the Ohana CK-35 and Kala KA-SMHC side by side in a shop .
Holding the Ohana felt much lighter , and the sound more open .

I was just having a go at what I mistakenly took to be Kala spam .

Had the action lowered a bit and it's more playable now .
Such a beautiful tone !
I see there's a used Koa wood model on Reverb .
