Great price for a nice Jet!
Wonder if it has a jackplate......
I signed up for Adorama and only get daily junk emails with none of these Gretsch deals.
If this had been the Bourbon I’d likely be figuring out what to sell.
Heck of a deal. Mama would kill me though, so I have to be strong.
Glad to see Gretsch deals returning to Adorama, it's been a little while.
Now if they'll only drop one I can't say no to...
That is a crazy price for an outstanding guitar....I have one in Caddy Green.
Good thing it's red, because I really can't afford one right now.
Meh. Too much $$$ for a guitar that doesn't have a body color matching headstock.
Specs say this Jet has "All-new Broad'Tron BT65 pickups"
Is this more of the PAF style humbuckers again ??
I recall it is a cross between a Gibson PAF and a Gretsch Filtertron.
see bottom right
thanks Zacky but the picture doesn't say if the Broadtron is a filtertron or a standard humbucker in design.
Anyone know for sure?
On Streamliners I've played they sounded like PAF humbuckers to me.
They’re PAF sized designed by Tim Shaw for Gretsch. I believe I remember watching a NAMM show where they said it’s a wider FT but but I’m not sure about resistance, etc. I love mine in my G6228. Purists may not like it but I find them very versatile. If you don’t like them, regular FT’s drop in with a regular bezel. But I wouldn’t dream of swapping mine out.
Excuse my lack of truss cover if anyone notices. It’s left off now For adjustment because I’ve been playing with string gauges.
Hard shell case too , hard for anyone to pass up . If someone buys it here on the forum , I'll send them a jack plate
It’s brief but at 2:22 he’s talking about them in this one. It really sounds like a bigger and wider FT. These are also different spec than the Streamliners BT. They have more clarity and stuff to my ears.
Do what I did with the SG . Just buy it and tell her you're going to sell one of your guitars to replace it ....( my Tele is still under the bed )
I’m with you, Merc. nut’n to change on this guitar other than the strings
I tried to do this to scale.
It looks like the aperture of the Broadtron is similar to a Gibson PAF?
