Gonna buy a Jet, first one I’m trying is the VS 59 Silver Sparkle. Didn’t like the tone switch at first but I’m warming up to it after playing around with lead/rhythm to some tracks. The other one is The VS 89 in black.I’ll try it tomorrow and see how they compare, I hope it will be an easy choice.
A string change really helped and setting the action to my taste made it easier to play although it was not bad out of the box.
Really liking the NYXL strings after a couple hours break in. I took a pic of the silver one and will include it.
    Have a great day everyone!

Cool, interested to hear your thoughts on the 89.

Silver Sparkle all the way for me. The concept of a VS from "1989" just doesn't seem right, somehow.

Good luck! I wish I had the opportunity to play some of these models in person.

Cool.....so do you just send back the one you don't like, or do you own a shop?

I decided to keep the 89, it sounded fuller with more complex tone. I never did really like the mud switch on the 59 and the sustain was not nearly as long as the 89.
Gonna do a little work on the nut and lube everything up then it should play even better.
I played it in church yesterday and got a lot of compliments on the the tone and it sounded awesome in my mix….very satisfied with my choice.

Post a picture! Yours has the Nashville tom, not the roller bridge? That would be my preferred bridge too. Some say that a roller sucks the tone. Maybe that is the loss of sustain you are talking about. That would be my choice too, the 89.

Yes, it has the tom bridge and seems to hold tuning well

That is my preferred bridge setup for any guitar, the Nashville tom on a pinned bridge. Congrats! I am jealous.

Not sure of the exact weight but they are not light but they don’t make my back tired like a Les Paul. If I had to guess I’d say 8 pounds or a little less. I’ll try to weigh it soon
