Do the recent (specifically 2003-2016) 6118’s vary much in neck shape? If so, how would you describe the shapes: C shaped, U shaped, D, etc.

I am looking at picking one up, but due to budget and my location, it will almost certainly have to be a used one shipped to me, so I will not be able to play first. I say a 2003-2016 because I would rather have the ebony fretboard than rosewood.

Since they debuted in 1958, wouldn't surprise me to see a bit of fluctuation over the years.

My Annie is from 2015, got it new in 2016. I'd call it a medium C shape, to me very comfortable.

Good call on the Ebony board, love mine. Also love the mud switch (seems most of us either love those or hate them), and the High Sensitive Filter'Trons are very nice. For me, mine is the perfect spec'd Anniversary.

Your best bet is to ask any potential seller to send you the neck measurements, and then compare them to the specs on a guitar that you know you like.

Good call on the Annie—they're wonderful guitars!
