    Watering down the product?

I spent seven months in Florida in 2019. It seemed every other guy over 65 is driving a restored muscle car or vintage car, I'm talkin fish tail era cars, vintage trucks and so on. So, maybe that's where Boomers money has been going. But, Gretsch's parent is also making more models cheaper from...

    Interview with Poison Ivy

Jeeeeeze! When I first saw this old thread my heart raced and sunk. But now, I need to find this issue with some nice relief as well. Phew

Intro - New here, second Gretsch

Welcome! I'm really curious of how the Penguin sounds through the Marshall. I've got some GAS for another Marshall myself but never tried a Gretsch through one.

Fender 64 Custom Deluxe Reverb Hardwired

If I could afford one of these I wouldn't hesitate to buy it regardless of the guitar. These HW Deluxes are nice amps.

    Cheap Guitars…

I dont consider my new 5422tg to be a cheap guitar, I sure as heck didn't pay much for this level of quality and the more I play it the more I really like it.

How good of a deal is this (two new, but old stock, Setzers)?

Yes, the prices are good, but "in house?" Eh, after taxes and all. If you were to buy it then a few months down, after a humid summer maybe, things could start to warp and bend, who knows. I been playing guitars since the late '70's and while Ive never hung them I've also never known a glue...

    Another eBay/Reverb rant

I won't sell on Reverb anymore for a few reasons. 1. Shipping is now to much and I can't compete against the free shippers unless I sell at a stupid low amount. 2. My last guitar sale, buyer got back to me saying it needs a re-fret, strings and if I dont go half with him on that cost then just...

    Ughhh...Is a Bigsby B7 a dealbreaker for anybody else?

it's become one for me. Although, many of the well made hollow bodies from Korea/China don't have one. The player editions that do is a shame. I'm guessing Bigsby made Gretsch/Fender an offer they couldn't refuse on a zillion of those B7's so they went for it. And, it does go by next angle as well.

Anyone buying now just to buy?

I had a seriously nice Reso at one time. Love those guitars. No pup on it though. Also got a good price on it. Sold cause I had to move. Where else in the world can you buy a watermelon in June? I actually saw them in January. It was one of these new boutique super markets that moved into an...

Anyone buying now just to buy?

Completely materialistic thought of sorts. I've had my eye on another Martin or the '59 6128 RI now that my favorite seller has them back in stock, but at the same time I'm not because I just don't feel like spending that amount of money. But I did buy a vivarium tank today just to grab one at...

    NGD: Gretsch G6128t-53 Vintage Select

Have a Scripty myself. Absolutely phenomenal guitar. Unique in every way. Its just my own taste but I think it sounds best through a nice clean amp to capture its wide range of tones.
