I was listening to a video with Neil Young where he says he has the Bigsby handle bent more for easier access.
Has anyone done this? Or is it like, don't do that to your Bigsby handle! moment.
Probably not. I learned about these Supro Delta Kings a year or so ago and noticed the price point was really good for tubes. I don't actually have any combos, just heads, and probably should have one to play with. So I was in the shop, saw the discount, and picked it up. I went around lifting...
The Tone King is like a Fender amp+ with a lot of bells and whistles. If you can justify the cost then I would get that and it's for life really at those prices. I really want a Fender Custom Tweed Deluxe but I also want to be able to attenuate it and it seems to me the Tone King models can...
Those Supro Delta King 10 tone maps are from the demo video, so they are recommended settings but you adjust to taste (eyes closed use ears, turn knobs, lol).
From what I understand the line out carries the preamp signal which is basically like having a distortion pedal with tubes. So if you...
The Drive-In has Master at 0 because that's a line out, but just up that more.
In the demo when you want big it gets paired with Supro Keeley or any one of those wide combos Supro uses. I suppose it's saying when you upgrade, you can still use its tone.
The problem is obviously the design is a...
I should add that there is a pedal in front of the amp for the second track because I wanted a bit of a saggy tweed sound. I'll put up what the combo sounds with the gain up later with something more suitable.
I could have gotten the 12 but I don't have a 6V6 amp so it sort of made sense to have a 6V6 combo and the Supro Delta King 10 is very nice. I played it a few weeks ago at the shop and bought it the same day. Been playing with it since.
Manufacturing tubes is not mission impossible. Those places just make them very cheaply for the mass-market production. Plus you can probably bet there are stocks in warehouses for other applications that can be used with amps.
I'd go with the Supro Delta combos but pick your power tubes because there are three different types depending on the wattage.
A very nice speaker for cleans is the Eminence Cannabis Rex so if you have a head that does clean, that speaker is really worth trying out. I use it with a 1W tube head...
Streamliners appear to me to be made to cost, meaning Gretsch probably isn't making huge profits from them and are more about introducing people to Gretsch guitars with the eye on them spending more at a future date on a better Gretsch. They are nicely priced compared to what a Gretsch usually...
Michael Jackson did that to Paul McCarthy. They were hanging out and wanted to do some music work together and Michael was telling Paul he will own all his stuff and Paul thought he was joking until he went and did it. Then the Beatles songs started to appear in adverts and Michael was like...
Neil Young caught onto this a few years back. Hedge funds decided to start collecting ownership over discographies that are 'culturally relevant' and he sold 50% of his works to them. The hedge funds are betting on future earnings from hits from these discographies to pay off from the streaming...
I have that along with a V30. It is a very nice speaker. I would describe it as middle ground when it comes to dealing with loud distortion. Not a Greenback, not a V30, but something else sort of inbetween.

Have a look at those details.
What's interesting to me is that they have 3 different power stage configurations. 8 uses a preamp tube for the power section. 10 uses a 6V6. 12 is a 6L6.
Right. I think the idea is that the onboard reverb is supposed to cover time based stuff. I don't even know if I want to put pedals in front of it at this stage let alone an effects loop. I do have a pedal called a Falcon from crazy tube circuits. It does the whole cranked tweed thing. However...
What I have is a cabinet for the Rex and a head that works much like the Supro Delta 8 with two pre-amp tubes and one acting as a power amp. It sounds like these Supros and it's good but it's not a 6V6 and also not a combo.
