I use an ES-5 and a MB but not together on the same board. Best I can tell, you could run the MB this way. For example, for a 'preamp always on"...
Oldie but goodie,
Nah, you informed me on that one. I love Hank III being what he is, especially that song. Didn’t realize it was a cover. How embarrassing! Lol
Alright, I think this is my first Crystal Castles post on the G-T :)
Sisters of Mercy - Doctor Jeep
Nice one-up lol :D
Thompson Twins lol
Congrats! It will round out your tone a bit too, and tighten up the bass notes. At least until you plug it in :)
Best part is tuning issues...
Yep, 1200 bucks new I'd be in, and I wouldn't care if it was Electro or Proline.
I'm crazy about the metallic(?) tan (almost a Jag Tan) version, and I could deal with the rest if I found one used. The real questions for me are:...
Ohhhhhh yeahhhh :))))) look at that beautiful Melita bridge :D
A real beaut, congrats!
Too bad no more aftermarket Melita bridges, I love the original look. If you want to keep it, get some pan head screws to...
That mod is easily doable with a B12/B7/B70, pivoting off the hinge. B5/B50s are another matter. Side rant: why does Gretsch insist on using B50s?...
Clubby necks, fat clubby necks for everyone!
I owned a Pro Jet a long time ago, and I swapped in a B7 Bigsby, because it looks better IMHO. I also changed to the same bridge. It was an...
I could use an Annie or Country Club....oh wait no, no, no, bad bad bad!
Got a pic? That’s pretty suspect to me. Did the serial start with “KS”?
I’d get an ABM 2400 roller and be done with it. I use these on 9.5” radius necks and it’s benefit is a slightly elevated low and high E strings....
I don’t doubt your experience but I’m saying it’s all relative, and I don’t know how adjusting the slugs changes noise in a Dyna, but maybe it...
Stay well Merc, hope all is well for you and the community down there..
Vintage DeArmond Model 2000s and Gretch Dynas are not RWRP, many older pickups weren't either. That's more common practice now, but not a guarantee.
Not sure what you mean here. The pickup and pole heights impact tone and response, but it will always buzz.
It's gonna hum, and even more with a compressor and TS. In fact, if you get a Jet with Gretsch Dynas, the thing will likely squeal at high volumes...
I don't like stoptails at all, but if I had to have a Gretsch with one, I'd get the Vee.
