Hi Mark! It's great to see you still here. :) I retired a year ago, sort of. Although retired my sister and I created the US Women's Shooting Academy. Some of my spare time is spent with my passion, the Constitution. I've amassed over 70 books devoted to the Constitution with the oldest...
Thank you very much. It was quite an undertaking when I did this. Being "unskilled" at such a thing I was quite slow but deliberate in my approach. There is a thread on the project. https://www.gretsch-talk.com/threads/streamliner-makeover.37048/
I've been thinking lately of making some...
No, I traded it a few years ago for a Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus. I was in a Classic Rock band at that time and the LP fit my needs. I have a Gretsch G3700 from the Historic Series and of course my modified Streamliner from the Historic Series.
How is your Lefty collection coming along?
Bob!! I'm so glad to see you online! Yes, I have the same email address. I think of our friends at the NorCal Roundup often and cherish those wonderful memories.
The NorCal Roundups are legendary, in my humble opinion. No matter which Roundup you may attend, you will have a remarkable experience. There is nothing like putting a face to a screen name and sharing a song. If you can make the NorCal event you will leave with cherished memories.
I'm not new, but have not been on in quite a while. I'm certain there are a lot of new names since my last visit. Hopefully there are still old timers around. That would be cool. I'm still a Gretsch fan after all these years. :) After living in SoCal for nearly 30 years I finally retired...
There is a shortage of Cabana Boys in our area. Perhaps I can be encouraged to put in a good word for you. I'd hate to see a young man parting with such a beautiful instrument as that.
I've never been to the Rally but did get to go there about 1-2 weeks before the Rally in 2008. It was still a lot of fun and not crowded. :)
It would be a fun road trip some day.
If the place was on fire and I could only grab three, it would be.
1. 1965 Mosrite Celebrity prototype (1 of 4 made)
2. 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus
3. Gretsch G3155 that I heavily modded.
I would be very sad to leave the others behind.
All of the above, plus beautiful countryside! Wait, there's more. In addition to great music the people are awesome. And, that's not all. I always give out hugs. :)
I've had this Takamine for a number of years and it is a fantastic acoustic/electric made in Japan.
This G400 was one of the best sounding acoustics I've ever owned. It could not be plugged in and I like having the cutaway.
I can personally speak to what a great time the Gretsch Roundups are. I've been to several at various locations around the US and Gretsch folks are just awesome people to hang out with. The NorCal Roundup is a favorite of mine due to the beautiful country of Northern California. That is...
