Best EL84s I've ever used are NOS or ANOS RCA. Matched pairs can be $125 and you're getting little to no guarantee. If you can't find them at a decent price, I like the "preferred series" EL84 from the TubeStore. It's about $90 for a pair.
So I HAVE to think the first one is intentional.
The second one - really??? Well, as far as I was willing to listen into it, at least he remembers the words.
I always thought Axel Rose's voice was just a bit too sleazy sounding for that song. It's not a bad version actually, but Rose's voice...
But Tiffany - whoever told her she had talent was so so cruel. That hurts my hears.
The problem with covers is anchor bias. It's hard to shake that first version you hear, especially if it's a really good version. Everything after a good version get's compared. But really, each version really has to stand on its own - is it well done? Does it sound good? Did they try to copy...
I just noticed this one from a while back from Chicago. Check out the guy playing the refrains and lead fills and during the break (in various places, but best at 3:04). And who doesn't like seeing this one anyway? :
Apologies if it's already been shared.
That only works with subatomic particles. They're on sale at Guitar Center right now - buy one get one free.
For mics, it's the letter they begin with. Shure and Sennheiser are identical. AKG and AT, exactly the same. Neuman? Different. Not saying better, just different.
I hear those at night...
Right now for some reason, for me it's Dreams by the Cranberries. (RIP Dolores...)
I was just watching an episode of Derry Girls and they played it on there and now I can't stop:
All I know is that I was playing my guitar through my Barber LTD the other day and it was heavenly. Last night? It sounded terrible. So my conclusion is that tone comes from the atmospheric pressure multiplied by the sonsteby coefficient divided by the square root of the mamby pamby principle.
I prefer to sprinkle a bit of uranium oxide powder into the sugar. Then I can find their nest with a geiger counter and infiltrate it with a SEAL team and wipe them out with a flame thrower. Or a fuel air bomb depending on the shape of the property.
The two people I know who have used that kind of service both had return visitors within one year. If it was not so danged expensive, I would not mind that it’s not permanent.
I hate those things! When they land, I take an upside down can of air and drip liquid on them. If done right, the first drip kills them and they can’t break wind.
I have infrared videos of rats evading my traps. They would shove stuff off of tables to trip them and then go eat the bait. Another one dove at it and did a front flip as he was sailing over it to trip the trap. I’m not kidding. You can’t make this up.
That's an interesting jobbie - I'm sure it helps relieve some of that side stress that can cause binding.
But you're right, properly cut nut slots are very elusive and most luthiers don't know how to do them right. Those that do would admit that it's very tricky but once you know how, it really...
Hope you like it. The price is right and frankly, I'm always impressed with the sound quality even just through my ipad mic. There is a setting in there you have to be aware of if you're getting clipping when you think you shouldn't. If you find that to be the case, I'll look it up for you.
I...
Not at all. You pay up front and then you pay up to twice expand to maximum tracks. But nothing monthly. I think I laid out about $30 in total several years ago - I'm maxed out. As they keep updating it, I get those for nothing extra.
I'm not paying an annual fee...and I don't think there is...
Do you have an iPad? Get Multitrack DAW for iPad - best I've used. I like Pro Tools and own Cubase - very capable, a lot of learning to get efficient.
But for quickly laying down tracks and some good mixing and editing features, you can't beat this. If you have the Scarlett, you should be able...
What clued me in was that body - just doesn't look factory. That neck and that body were not originally sold together from the factory. In fact, it's a very different animal from what your photos shows: (best as I can tell)
And I think the reason that pickguard is messed up is because that...
