Guitar World did an article in the Sept issue (Jimmy Page Jack White, Edge on the cover) titled The Anniversary of Gretsch. Probably not a lot of new stuff for you guys but a pretty good article with 15 pics included. Good history, artists and the alliance with Fender was explained.
I never thought that getting into guitars was like a monkey on my back! Why us? do drummers suffer this thing too? How many keyboardists have 10 "boards"? Bass players? This is evil stuff. If 1 isn't enough, what is? That perfect guitar for us is where? I now own four. It starts with surfin' at...
Hey, I put a couple of pics in my area if you wanted to see the pick guard. It came like that from SAM ASH. When I first got it (2+ years ago) I thought it was actually coated with that thin plastic film that covers electronic gizmos. I wonder if some SAM ASH guy traded it out (in the warehouse)...
I like the EPIPHONE BB KING LUCILLE but can't get past having a guitar with Lucille on the headstock. To me that would be like playing his guitar instead of mine. I'd buy it if it didn't say Lucille , or I guess I could just buy the Casino. As far as the Gretsch name I like it.
Thanks all for the vids too. Buck was one of a kind. If I'm going downtown
I'll need Sgt Rock to ride shotgun. And now for your viewing pleasure...

That KOA was on Boulder highway. That was on the ouskirts, but now gone. No KOA there. That area is in the middle of a metroplex area and it is developed all the way to the crest of the hill you rode over. There was about 400,000 then and now 2,000,000. It is not the Las Vegas you remember. It...
It's SS and the gain is way over the top, like Disturbed territory, too much. I like the Marshall high gain tone but not Randall's SS gain. But I got the amp at a great $. Go figure.
I'll consider that unbridled, but it has a lot of fine scratch's (pg) that actually came with it.
That Randall's a RX75D and to my ear sounds' nice and full on the clean; but I dont dig the od channel on 'cause it's the wrong kind of gain for my style.
