I'd actually never tried one until I picked up a Mesa Slant Recto 1x12 cab. The cab sounds great with the MarkV25, and also with the Quilter SuperBlock US.
A lot of people like V30s in fender amps because they bring out some of mids that are otherwise scooped from the amp's voicing.
That being said, Creambacks are a hugely popular choice too! Let us know how they sound.
When I'm feeling stale, I have taken to throwing myself random challenges. There's a book called Joe Pass Guitar Chords that I pick up from time to time to let in some fresh air. Mick Goodrick's The Advancing Guitarist also contains a lot of cool new things to try. It doesn't have to...

Love the range of usable tones I can get out of this little beast. However, the pop it makes when I turn it off - even in standby mode - is not one of them.
What's causing this and how do I eliminate it? Any of you experienced amp techs out there @TV the Wired Turtle @hcsterg @markeebee want to...
I stripped a Mesa F-50 of it's boring black funeral suit and reclad it like this. Lightly sanded the plywood box, watched a few Uncle Doug videos, and put on new tolex. I used Gorilla Glue. Not a perfect effort in the corners, so a bit disappointing, but it was fun. Plus, what's not to like...
