yeah ... any similarity with real Vikings is purely accidental :p

    Been down so long

Doors blues cover from the 1970's :) So I've been slowly learning slide guitar for years and thought it was time I recorded my rudimentary skills on this one. Kel Martin vocals. Mike Dennis drums. I play guitars, slide, bass and recording production. Gretsch Jet 6131 and SG guitars used...

    Viking or old world shows

GoT was never a Vikings show imo. It's a fantasy series and I can't remember even 1 Viking in it :p And you should have kept on with the Vikings series cos it improved every season. After a few episodes it developed great characters, lots of action and great stories all closely based on actual...

    Viking or old world shows

yep Viking shows have made a return. The best was the 5 seasons "Vikings" imo - probly on Netflix if you not seen already :)

    No more Tube amps?

I have another slumming method. Take an SS amp (or your fav modeler) and run it through a tube driven Fryette Power Station..... wow does that sure blast it into a quantum dispersal field - quarks and dark matter flyin everywhere :)

    Whatcha Listening To Today?

New and great Hoodoo Gurus CD just released "Chariot of the Gods". One of australia's best, and longest lived bands, still going strong in 2022. Here's 2 tracks - the full album can be heard on youtube or......let the videos below play to end and more tracks load

Discussion Tips for Recording your Gretsch in a Home Studio

well selling CDs with mp3 quality tracks is a very poor deal for punters imo. Commercial CDs are much better quality CDA files - about 10 mb per minute. Yes on Soundclick you have both free and paid download options :)

    No more Tube amps?

Is it compulsory to be a cork shiffing snob Tavo? Can't I just quietly enjoy my tube amps, and know they'll never die out, without looking down my nose at anyone? Can't I own both SS and tube amps, enjoy both, but prefer tubes? Who does that hurt? Can I also avoid all forum threads posted by...

    No more Tube amps?

yeah I saw Rhett's video this morning and thought it was another silly one from him - he's got plenty of silly ones imo. Imo silly cos... 1) Tubes are made in several other countries besides Russia ... 2) The trade sanctions on Russia are temporary and history has repeatedly shown it'll be...

VOX Amps With A Top-Boost Circuit - High And Low Inputs

True Zacky.... but Mesa Boogie did it no problem in their 3 TransAtlantic amps. Maybe the Morgan AC20 does it too - can't remember

VOX Amps With A Top-Boost Circuit - High And Low Inputs

yes that's just an ABY type switch - only blends the 2 channels :)

Yes all gone now - does it sound any different :)

VOX Amps With A Top-Boost Circuit - High And Low Inputs

Zacky I think you know Vox AC amps very well. Do you know if there's a technical reason why Vox can't put the normal and top boost channels on 2 separate channels with a foot switch to change between each at will - like a normal 2 channel amp :)

Egnater Tweaker 15 or Strynom Iridium & Power Amp?

Yes agree  I owned Rebel 30 and Rebel 20 heads. One of the most versatile, low cost and light weight tube heads available. Egnaters have their own tones which I really like. For non US people you can get these amps new for under $600 in the US. And cos they have variable power inputs...

Help me understand; why can a capo cost almost $300?

That $300 job also washes your dishes and mows your lawn :)

    Electromatic Classic Hollow Bodies

The alleged "all new Trestle bracing" is in same boat as the alleged new FT-SE pups. Gretsch have again provided zero info on either so we've nothing to comment on

    The New G5422TG

The concern is the new pups imo. Once again Gretsch has released a new pup with zero info on their website. Are the FT-5Es any good - who knows. Are they similar to BT filtertrons - who knows - you'll have to test them out yourself. I'm not a fan of gold hardware either but that's just me ;)

2 Great New Pedals Released - TCE Infinite & Dry Bell Vibe Machine V3

Can run up to 5 effects effects simultaneously with plethora. All the TCE pedals are true bypass so no tone suck on any of em. An advantage of plethoria also is with all the pedals in 1 unit there's no inter pedal cables. Dry Bell Vibe Machine is my fav vibe pedal but Viscous Vibe is very good...

2 Great New Pedals Released - TCE Infinite & Dry Bell Vibe Machine V3

If you like TCE effect pedals then Plethora is fantastic value for $$. Presently has about 25 TCE pedals installed. The cost of Plethora new equals 2-3 individual pedals and I got mine used at half price. All same as the individual pedals and most of the toneprints are accessible for all. Only...

Fender Custom '68 Princeton or a VOX AC15TBX

yeah but Zacky said clean only :)

Fender Custom '68 Princeton or a VOX AC15TBX

Geez Zacky you've put some big limitations on these 2 amps. Provided the amps stay at home in 1 spot and can only be used for cleans I'd go the Vox cos it has a 12" speaker v the Princeton's 10 incher. But as you'd expect - I wouldn't want either amp o_O😇
