He considered a full comeback after the movie but Col. Parker's nephew told him he would have to pay crazy late alimony payments to Priscilla and then he vanished again.
Probably 38 years.
I suppose I started on a cheap nylon in 1980 (or maybe 1979) and bought my G2655T in 2018. Quickly followed by a G3140 and now a G5129.
My 2 cents:
Everytime I put the guitar back on the stand, I make sure the strap is correctly set, untwisted. That's quite easy when it's just off the shoulder.
Then when I get it out of the stand, it's pretty easy to immediately have the strap correctly fitting my shoulder: left hand on the top...
I'd had only 1 acoustic and 1 electric for 25 years when my SG headstock snapped off. I thought it was definitely broken so I went to the market to discover that Gretsch was now making affordable guitars.
I tested my G2655T against an Epi Wildkat in a store and the sound from the pickups made a...
14:28 - Celebration of the Lizard.
(No, just kiddin')
That really depends on the song.
What I don't like for sure is a CD album with 12x4' songs having each a 1' intro. Can't stand that.
I'm back home now -which also means that I'll be back to work tomorrow :(.
The serial number starts with KS05, which is the second version, made by Samick in 2005.
Then both @bluenote23 and @Randy99CL are right.
Another valid assumption is that I made a mistake and own the second version, the Samick one 🤪😄
I'm on holiday far from home but I will check the serial number as soon as I get back home.
There are two versions of the 5129.
Mine is the first one with DeArmond 2000 pickups and B60 - then non tension bar Bigsby. It's a full hollow. It sounds epic!
The neck is not that big (e.g. less chunky than the neck of the G3140).
As far as I remember, the second version has smaller f-holes...
I recently learnt from Kenneth Cook that if a kangaroo happens to hug you with his arms, he actually prepares to hang to your neck and gut your belly with his feet claws. From that short story, the only response is to give his hug back and stick to him so that he can't manage to raise his feet...
Reason why I had mentioned you should skip to 4:30 where pure beauty starts.
Or 4:40 if you're in such a hurry and want to only hear that strings part.
I dig the strings part in the It's Too Late To Stop Now version too.
@Bertotti , it starts getting great at 4:30.
Psychocandy was such a shock to me that I can hardly listen to the other ones. Except Barbed Wire which has its moments too.
