Hey wait a minute! I play a 6118TJR. So how come electromatic always comes up? Also, I traded my Ric 620 for a nice Bluridge 12 string. The Ric was a beautiful guitar - I just didn't play it anymore. And finally, I'm now building Blumojo Cigar Box Guitars. Contact me if you want the "real deal" for that electric slide Delta Blues tone!

Hey guys! Well, I finally finally did it. (I hope this works, 'cause I'm not that good with a computer...) In the Albums, you will see my "Weapons Of Choice." L to R, bottom row starts with an Epiphone EJ-160E John Lennon model. It's Chinese made, but very nice quality and has a solid top. The Gibson models are plywood and cost about 4 times as much! Imagine that! Next is my Double Annie Jr. You all know the details, so I'll just say that I love it. Next is an Ovation Custom Legend from about '86. I used to drive by the factory in New Hartford, Ct. every day. This was the top of the line model in its day and is still a very nice guitar. Top row, L to R. First is a reissue '69 Tele Thinline of excellent Japanese quality. I have replaced all of the original hardware with gold to make it truly unique. Next is my Ric 620. I've had it for 20 years and it still shows like new; a fabulous instrument made in the U.S.A. Finally, there is a '40's era archtop. It has no markings or numbers whatsoever, so I really don't know much more. A local luthier re-set the neck and added the Benedetto pickup. Believe it or not, this one has as good or better action than any of the others - really! Hope you enjoy...I'll be the first one to admit that I don't play that well, but Elvis didn't either - 'least as far as I can tell...rockinstephen

Greetings to all! Although I am not yet a Gretsch owner, I plan to be soon. I already own several nice guitars including a Ric 620 and Ovation Custom Legend. I'm very interested in the Gretsch hollow bodies. There is quite a price jump between the Electromatics and the 6XXX series. Is the overall quality and value of these instruments really worth the extra money?
