My wife was at Tech when you were. She got a MS in Structures and even taught some classes I think. I finally have come to the point that there are no more guitars or amps I want. You really can't imagine how many I have. I can't even get to most of them. Sharon gave me a G6136DS WF and a white Marshall stack for our 28th Anni.
I also got a new blond Fender Supersonic. I think I 'm done buying and I don't want to sell. I'm kinda OCD about collections I always want one of each color. That almost broke me of Ford Mustang convertibles. You are right about GT it is pretty boring.
Have a safe and happy Fourth. 105 down here we are staying inside.

      hi Robert,
the White Penguin didn't seem to be that much of a better guitar than my "New" Jet or any other Jet that I've played. but then again, we both know each guitar is different. maybe a different Penguin would be a different/better playing guitar. but you sure could have fun playing and looking for a White Penguin.

hi there Robert ! sorry to take so long in replying. I moved from Ruston in 1987. I got there in 1975 not long after I got out of the Army in '74. we pass through every year on our way down to Baton Rouge. Ruston has grown since I left there in '87.

which Engineering is your wife in ? I studied Construction Engr Technology, but I started in Civil Engr when I started in 1969. as a Freshman in '69, I got to see Terry Bradshaw play college football there at Tech. except back then it was known as Louisiana Polytechnical Institute or "Jolly Poly"(as some called it).

I'm doing ok these days. I had to get away from gretsch-talk for a while. it was seeming like the same old questions were being asked over and over again. I've been spending more time over on the gretchpages. that's where a bunch of us started out before there was a gretsch-talk.

yeah, I don't blame you. I would have passed on that guitar, too. let me go for now. I'll stop back in again and get my messages. take care. brent
