Mine arrived yesterday. Very easy to install. No glue involved at all. It was just a matter of unscrewing the knurled nut and popping on the washer and putting the nut back on. I did tie a bit of string around the switch as a precautionary measure though.
I've been using the Thomastik Infled Jazz Swing 12's (I usually use 11's regardless of string manufacturer) and they DO bend decently and stay in tune much more so than the Chromes. My new go-to strings from now on. Thanks again for steering me towards them.
Hi lads. Is it handy enough to install these? As in, do you just unscrew the stock one and screw on the replacement? Or is it a right pain in the rear ? I have a Rat Rod by the way.
Thanks lads. Here it is side by side with my old G5125 Electromatic which I'll wall mount horizontally in the man cave. The cream piping around the headstock and f holes was done with a paint marker and a steady hand. As for the Rat Rod...I'll swap out the strings for D'Addario Flatwound...
