    Serial number on the fretboard?

i believe it is actually the pat. # for the T-zone tempered fret board. Gretsch T-zone Tempered-Treble (Patent #3,103,846)

    '56 Duo Jet NGD

very nice looking. can you do us a favor, when you change strings, can you check the back of the bigsby to see if it has a licensed stamp. you usually do not see the bigsby's with the "US" added.

    Is this legit?

I really like mine, it is a great playing guitar, thick neck, but acoustically loud and easy to play. mine has been modified, as seen.

    1960 Gretsch Single Anniversary

it is hard to say which it was if the model is not visible. i show sunbursts around serial 38709 in my records. you can look in the pick up cavity, or under the neck of the guitar where it joins the body for any original paint residue.

What is an original 1959 Gretsch 6119 Tennessean worth?

depends on the condition of yours, but they seem to be going(actually selling) on ebay on the top end about 3000, down to about 1000 for refinished with still original pickup and bigsby. last red one i have record of in good condition was about 1600

Cracks in the headstock -66 Tennessean

those are very cosmetic in nature, and should not significantly affect the guitar in anyway except looks. the top headstock layer is a veneer. so your cracks are in the finish and veneer if that deep. mainly considered weather checking like worknot said
