Thank you Defreeze, that is why I bought her, 1000 instead of 1700 ..which allowed me the cash to have a new bone nut installed and the gold anidized guard w/lace hot golds, the only thing I dont care for is the neck radius..7.25....which takes a little getting used to....Dan
You know, I've been wanting to try a 7 1/4. Think it'd be a bit easier when playing under a bar chord a bunch. I watched a Robin Trower model Strat on e-bay a few months back just before I bought mine. Also a ... I think it was a '57 re-issue, as well. They both had that radius. Was that '57 every something. One of the reds, gold hardware, with a birds eye Maple neck. Prettiest Strat neck I've ever seen. They both ended up going for about twice what I thought I wanted to spend.
You may consider buying a neck and throwing it on your strat, justa lot cheaper than buying a whole new one....!
From what I understand, only the Mex necks are available and it could only be a disappointment compared to the neck on my American Deluxe. shoot, Dafreeze, all kinda places sell necks, any style ! warmouth, all-parts, to name a few...mighty mite..is another...I have a warmouth on one squier...the american fender necks are way over the top for me...( in price) !
On your links, the first shot, the picguard needs a little tightening...! Very nice looking with the birdseye neck....
