    Unfortunately, the modern Gretsch/FMIC group knows very, very, very little about Baldwin-era guitars... If you know the model number and how the serial number decodes, then you're already miles ahead of Gretsch/FMIC customer service. Basically, if they didn't build it, they don't know nothin' about it.

    Yep. If you want to know about a vintage Gretsch, you come to gretsch-talk.com or gretschpages.com.
