I was thinking Maltese.
It's the stuff dreams are made of.
The White Eagle is the national symbol of Poland.
Eagles and falcons are both raptors, so...
Ford's Falcon was the bottom of the line.
I found something that might be appealing to you. Check out this Egyptian Falcon
Yep, you got that right. Now if you just had some diamonds, sapphires and rubies with that - then we are talking!
Falcons were very important symbols in ancient times - Tuts exhibition in London did replica enameled medallions for the tourists!
I have always liked ancient Egyptian lore. You can take the design and add the gems.
If you feel like you've reached the point where are needing to add "bling" to a fabulous blue finished Falcon with glitter binding... you might want to consider just upgrading to something like my new Teye Jazz Cat!
I would be tempted to see if you can have someone make a metal plate like what is on it, but with a Falcon engraved on it instead. I agree, that plaque they put on it was completely lame. Actually, a bit tacky IMHO. I can't blame you for wanting to change it, but it's GOT to be just the right thing.
Very tacky indeed! It is like a cataloguer's place card! The style of the logo above it is so more aesthetically pleasing and in keeping with the rest of the guitar. I have a Lalique crystal bird on a cufflink that would have looked stunning and in keeping with the pearloid logo.
No rudeness intended - WHO CARES WHAT WE THINK. It's your guitar. Do you like that bird? Use it!
If he's going for something sports related at least pick a winning team.

Here is the Lalique bird ...
Here is a different bird ... probably better for a Setzer "Hot Rod" model?
Maybe get a local crafts-person to copy the logo on the scratch plate to a gold wire outline and fix that on. Or go with the first one. It’s not like the actual “White falcon” logo looks any more like a falcon than that Eagle.
yes, you are probably right!
