With NAMM just over a month away... thought it might be a fun thread to predict what we might see and what we wish we’d see from Gretsch.

Prediction: Although vague, my gut tells me something new in the Electromatic line.

    Wish:
    1. Would love to see the return of cat’s eye on a full hollow body with eyes more accurate to the late 60’s.

    2. Would like some new color combos for the 6118. Pulling from recent colors... Iridium Silver with charcoal metallic, lotus ivory top with cherry metallic back and sides, or something more new and hot rodded out like lotus ivory top but with some sort of orange metallic back and sides. Inspired from below.

That black and silver 55 on the bottom looks sexy!

Caddy Green Dyna Club and Panther, both sweet MIA’s. :)

I’m wondering how long before someone around here writes “jack plates” as a standard feature in 2019. ;)

I thought you’d come come around to this thread. :)

A Billy Bo Electro sounds very interesting. I hadn’t thought of that

lol... that would be like icing on the cake!

Wonder how much it would jack the price up on the Stream and Electro line. Even a cheap one would do wonders

Yea , a Billy Bo would be great in an Electromatic series . I think they would sell almost better then the 5120 did . With or without a Bigsby would be a great option too . And the colors ....oh the colors they could scheme ....Annie Green , red , black , walnut , white ... oh you name it . I'd buy one in a heartbeat

I'd love to see a vintage select 55 silver jet, with a slightly aged silver top

Double cuts, 3 pickups and cat eye holes. Preferably in one proline!
Oh and proline juniors with wood bridge bases! Better upper fret access, more approachable for less huge people, and more controllable feedback.

Just ditch the tension bar Bigsbys so I can buy another new Gretsch.

Reminds me: it's a long time since we've seen any new solid body basses from Gretsch, long overdue!

I almost forgot about that Violet and Smoke Gray. It was a great color combo from the Country Club.

Yes, shame they never used that color combo on another smaller-bodied guitar.

Electromatic Jets with some sort of Dynasonic/2k/whatever, as long as it gets close enough - just like BT Filters to "real" Filters. In black, red and two or three sparkle finishes.
