So, I have a beautiful Steve Wariner signature that I love, the extra neck length makes her a pleasure to play and the colour is stunning!...................... BUT!!

There's a chance that I could trade the Wariner straight up for a RHH!! As much as I love the Wariner the RHH is just so "classic" Gretsch, G brand, Cacti and fence posts, Gretsch orange, on and on.................

Just out of curiosity, if given the choice between these two guitars which one would y'all take home??

I’d chose the Wariner for everything but the extended scale. That just don’t fit me. To you even the scale sounds as a plus, so I voted the Wariner without doubt.

To me it is a question of style preference. Elegance vs. Country kitsch.
I personally would choose Country kitsch.

RHH because it has less bracing.

I wouldn’t swop. I love my RHH. Maybe someday you will own both. But I wouldn’t swop a guitar that sounds, plays and feels great for one that has some visual bits that I like. The ONLY reason I’d swop (and, please hear me, I love my RHH) the ONLY reason I would swop is because the Wariner is leaving you lacking a bit in the sound department.
The RHH model will be around for years to come. Maybe save up and set your sights on both!

Can you try out the potential replacement in person?

Then I'd do that and make the decision based on the outcome of that.

Personally I wouldn't, I really like the RHH model but the Wariner looks to be more versatile, and to me it looks just as good as the RHH model, just different flavours.

Have a play of the RHH model if you can, you will know straight away what you want to do after that.

Both are beautiful..The shorter scale of the RHH is where I start leaning away from the Wariner. Also I don’t like the looks of the smaller F holes or badge on head stock. I didn’t find any specks on Wariner bracing.. I do like the trestle bracing... if both were equal in condition I’d get the Orange Hillbilly Hotrod...

I love the RHH but just became familiar with the magic of the Wariner signature model and am taken back by the "wow" factor and it's uniqueness. I'd go for the Wariner.......also love that neck pickup for warmth on "bluesy" flat-picking soloing.

Don't do it, it will be hard to find another Wariner.if you do, take some cash, doesn't seem like an even trade to me.

Save your pennies and buy a RRH later. The world economy will crash (more), you will see more opportune. Silver lining

Wariner all the way because of the scale! Not sure that's an even trade...?
