What Strings Do You Use???

    Thanks for the info I'll give them a go. My G2420 specs 10-46, do you recon I stick with 10-46 or go the red 11-48? Cheers Al

    On my Les Paul, I use D'addario NYXL 1046. On my new 5420T I have a set of NYXL 1149. I have tried Ernie Balls, but these caused fret buzz. I have also used D'addario XLs, but I really like NYXL. They stay in tune remarkably well, and they are more durable.

    No endorsement, as I use Pyramid Golds, but I just came across this and found it interesting that Elixer uses Gretsch in it's ads...

    I need to update this. Found out that Ernie Ball makes Burly Slinkies! .011 to .052 so it’s like the skinny top heavy bottoms but heavier on top. Put these on my 5420 and what a huge difference it made in tuning stability and feel.
    I’m sold!
