I don't know a song that best represents the Gretsch sound. Here is a pretty great Gretsch sound. Especially for those who would say Gretsch doesn't do well at high volume...

I'll see your Movin' and Groovin' and raise you a Schleppin' and Kvetchin'.

On the CD, Duane Eddy plays one verse as a guest artist.

Holy smokes I played this often with my 5122 with TVJ and Gretsch filters, it just worked. Didn't know Lowell played a WF. Worked for "Tramp" too..

This one was another great inspiration for me and imo is THE Classic Gretsch tone.
Not Chet, not Eddie, not Brian either .........but Malcolm in a band x1000 more popular than all of them :)

Hey really like that and there's 2 Gretsch guitars.

Lead player behind him with green 6120 with 2 x TV Jones Filtertrons :)

Yes he's got a black Electromatic 5420 with Gretsch Dyna's.
He looks to be using the neck pup only.
Lead player has a Setzer 6120 with TV Jones Filtertrons.
Looking at the vid again I think most of what we're hearing is the Filtertron Setzer :)

I'm not sure that's a 5420, with a B70 rather than B60, and no bridge base (studs instead) (see at about 1:33). I am very curious now as to what guitar that is.
