A wonderful amp.... BUT you should hear it with a Nocturne Dyno Brain in front of it! That is a sound to die for!!

Vox AC15 twin and 68 "custom" princeton reverb reissue. The vox sounds amazing with T-Armonds and the tone cut control really comes in handy with my 53 jet for taking away some of the excess sizzle. The PRRI has a "bassman" tone stack for the first input so it breaks up and has great overdrive by 5 on the dial. Its very dark sounding for a Princeton with the Celestion speaker, I love it. Im getting ready to pull the trigger on the Vox AC15HW, my question is, which speaker is the best? the greenback or the alnico blue? any suggestions?

I feel like you can't go wrong with greenbacks. I played one with Alnico blues and they were harsh to me, apparently they need a ton of break-in time to be good

Crusty old Magnatone's, Masco custom 10 through a Heppner alnico 12, SF Champ, Roland Cube 60 or a Boss mini Katana. I also have a '49 Challenger 30watter with 2 x 6L6s and octal preamp tubes, its awesome but needs some work right now as its kinda hissy.

Vox amp together with a 20180507_224155.jpg Guild X160 isn`t bad at all, especially not if a better guitarist than I was playing it :O)

...after many different amps I've finally found my amp:

SWART STR Tremolo. No need for anything else besides a guitar and a cable.

With my 6122-1959 Country Gent., I went with a Peavey 115 Delta Blues. That tube amp pushing a 15 inch speaker gives me "That Great Gretsch Sound" closest I've ever come to a super clean, balanced "Chet" tone.
I use a touch of reverb and a little slap-back echo from my Vox HD-300.

For some reason I can’t quite put my finger on, I had you figured as a Gibson GA19RVT player.

My Princeton 68' custom lends itself very nicely to the hollow body and semi hollow body guitar sounds.

Yes, it's actually my favorite between the two, so quiet and clean and the tremelo is fabulous. I get enough reverb effect out of my carbon copy to satisfy the lack of the amp having it's own reverb. I can see why these amps were so popular in recording studios.
