    :)

I grew up with neighbors like that. Their furniture was covered in plastic and normal wear and tear had been banished.

I was raised in a family of modest means in a town with lots of Ivy League doctors. The first time I saw furniture covered in plastic I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I’d ever seen. My opinions have changed little in the decades since. :)

I've never seen plastic furniture covers anywhere but in the telly. They must be really nice to sit on :D.

The first time I went to my buddy's house after school around 1971.. there was a room with a white carpet and white furniture and everything was shiny and crinkly.. even the carpet. "We don't go in there" he said..

Funny topic but I left it on my Chet 1959 for one reason. The minute I removed it from my Pro Jet I started to get a static sound every time my fingers rub across the pick guard. It also happened on my Telly when I removed it.
Some people mention using bounce dryer sheets so maybe I'll try that.
Still only the pick guards on my newer guitars have that problem.

  19. yeah, but real cold when you sit on it in the winter time. :D

Ugh I thought seeing some of my Chinese family wrap their dining chair cushions in plastic was an embarrassment of my race, but apparently the disease is race-blind. LoL, when I was little, I also thought only Chinese people farted because the only people I had heard fart were in my family, and therefore Chinese!
