Yeah man. The stinger is everything
Maybe something like this is what I meant earlier regarding sanding down to natural finish ....and put a jack plate on it too
I like that
Thanks T . Took the photo off of Google . I tell ya , ever since I bought my 12 string in natural / amber , I just love the look . I would love to get a Jet w/ Bigsby in natural too ( single cut , not the Malcom ) . This is the 12 as I'm sure all have seen before
hell yeah white! i have wanted one for years! im jealous right now.
I see an SG and I want it painted black......
I may like faded sonic even more, but it doesn’t come in rattle cans.
I think it’s mahogany, just not sure how many pieces.
Good point. Sonic and pink work better with white plastic.
That is TV yellow? Looks more like Ferrari yellow.
Apologies larryb, I’m the one that needs an eyesight check up apparently. I thought ricochet had posted those pics. I would have been more respectful if I’d seen that it was you
I like Pelham Blue.
I love Pelham blue, on the SG in the pic. Generally I'm not a blue guitar guy. Sonic blue is just white with a blue hue.
As a child of the 60's I'm of the firm belief that all SG's should be this color.
Whatever color Elliot Easton’s SG was. That color.
Of the approved options I'd probably go w/ Sonic (edit: just saw that white is on the list so I change my vote to white w/ a black guard ).
I think Pelham w/ some aged clear and a natural neck finish like my departed Melody Maker would probably be my first choice though.
Black SGs looks nice and evil though too:
I’m partial to green guitars but I have to admit the purple would be cool
An SG Jr has a special place in my heart. For me there are two choices - transparent red (as others have indicated) or white. (Ok - maybe black). Transparent red means you know your stuff; white means you are showing off
I have a 1966 Gibson catalog at home. It shows the 3-pickup SG Custom only available in White, the SG Standard and SG Junior only available in Cherry, and the SG Special available in both White & Cherry. By contrast the budget Melody Maker (both 1 & 2 pickup models) was available in Fire Engine Red & Pelham Blue.
I always find there’s something special with it being simple and pure white with a black pickguard. My votes in.
